How I handle your details
The short version: I only use what you send me to reply to you and do the work you ask for. I don't sell it, share it for marketing, or track you around the internet.
Who I am
Hojari is run by me, Prejith Ponnachan, from Muscat in Oman. I decide how your details are used, so I'm responsible for them. You can reach me at hello@hojari.co.uk.
What I collect
- What you type into a form: your name, email, business name, website, and anything you choose to tell me, including the answers on the questionnaire and the X-ray form.
- What you send on WhatsApp or by email, if you message me there.
- Your choices on the page, such as which demo you tried or the figures you put into the cost calculator, but only if you then send the form, so I don't have to ask you twice.
I don't use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. Your browser remembers two small settings on your own device, the currency you picked and whether you've seen the intro, and they never leave it.
Why I use it
- To reply to you, send a price, an X-ray or a mock-up you asked for, and to do the work if we go ahead.
- To keep a record of what we agreed and what you paid.
The legal reasons are that you asked me to (taking steps towards a contract), that I need it to deliver what we agreed, and keeping basic business records.
Who else sees it
A few services help me run Hojari, and they only handle your details to do that job:
- Formspree delivers the forms on this site to my inbox.
- Zoho Mail hosts my email.
- WhatsApp, if you message me there.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website and, like any web host, briefly keeps technical logs such as IP addresses.
- Google, only if you run the speed check, which sends the web address you type to Google's PageSpeed test.
Some of these companies store data outside the UK, for example in the United States. They are large, established providers that offer their own safeguards for this.
How long I keep it
If we don't work together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we do, I keep what we agreed and paid for as long as the law needs me to for business records, usually six years, and nothing more than that.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, or tell me to stop contacting you. Email hello@hojari.co.uk and I'll sort it within a month, usually much sooner. If you're in the UK and unhappy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
